| Greshniki' Becomes First 2025 Film to Enter IMDb Top 250, Scores Big with Critics and Box Office. |
Ryan Coogler’s horror film Greshniki has made waves by becoming the first movie of 2025 to enter the IMDb Top 250 — a rare feat for a modern film. It currently holds the 245th spot with a solid rating of 8.2 based on over 59,000 user votes.
The story follows twin brothers Smok and Stack as they return to their hometown, hoping for a fresh start. But just when they think they’ve escaped their troubled past, a much bigger threat emerges — vampires. The lead role is played by Michael B. Jordan.
Greshniki isn’t just doing well on IMDb — it’s killing it on other platforms too. It’s the first horror film ever to receive an "A" rating from CinemaScore and one of the few to debut on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect 100% critic score. Though that number has since dipped slightly to 98%, it’s still an incredible achievement.
The film is also a box office hit, raking in nearly $170 million so far — a huge number for a horror movie — and it's still playing in theaters.
