Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji, Director of Cyber Crime at Bareskrim, explained that this seizure started from a report handed over by the PPATK (Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center) to investigators. It revealed suspicious financial transactions linked to illegal activities like online gambling.
"Based on the report, we took immediate action and seized around Rp61 billion from 164 accounts connected to online gambling," Brigadier General Himawan said in a statement on Friday (May 2, 2025).

"Other accounts are still in the process of being blocked and temporarily halted by PPATK. We’re continuing to investigate each one carefully," he added.
