“When you play at home like we did, the feeling is that we should’ve gotten a better result,” he told Movistar Plus.
“We can’t be conceding that many goals, especially at Camp Nou. Sure, Inter are a strong team and played well, but we’re Barcelona. It’s our job to win at home — that’s the standard.”
Despite the frustration, Raphinha is still optimistic about the second leg in Milan.
“The result isn’t terrible, and everything’s still up for grabs in the return leg. We just have to fix our mistakes and go there with the mindset to win and reach the final.”
Raphinha Shines with Impressive Stats
Raphinha wasn’t just vocal — he also delivered on the pitch. He set up Ferran Torres for Barca’s second goal in the first half, and then played a huge part in the third goal, smashing a shot off the crossbar that deflected in off Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
That assist brought his total to eight in the Champions League this season — just one short of Luis Figo’s record of nine assists in a single campaign.
In total, Raphinha now has 20 goal contributions (goals + assists) in this year’s Champions League — a number only surpassed by Cristiano Ronaldo, who managed 21 during the 2013/14 season.
