PepsiCo is making headlines again! For the first time in 20 years, the global beverage giant is launching a brand-new product under its classic Pepsi lineup: Prebiotic Cola. This new drink is crafted for consumers who want to enjoy the familiar cola taste—without the health trade-offs.

This latest innovation still delivers Pepsi’s signature flavor but with a healthier twist. Prebiotic Cola contains only five grams of natural cane sugar and no artificial sweeteners. It’s also low in calories, with just 30 calories per can.

Even more interesting, Pepsi has added three grams of prebiotic fiber, which is known to support digestive health. That means this cola doesn’t just taste good—it’s also designed to be good for your gut.

PepsiCo announced that Prebiotic Cola will be available online starting Fall 2025, and will roll out to retail stores in early 2026.

Consumers can choose between two flavor options: the original cola or a more playful cherry-vanilla blend. The drink will come in two formats: single 12 oz (355 ml) cans, and 8-pack sets.

At this point, the launch is exclusive to the United States. There’s no official word yet on whether Prebiotic Cola will be sold in other countries. However, with growing global demand for healthier beverage options, it wouldn’t be surprising if PepsiCo expands its reach in the near future.

The introduction of Prebiotic Cola marks a major step in PepsiCo’s shift toward more health-conscious products. It aligns with a global trend where consumers are increasingly looking for drinks with cleaner ingredients and added wellness benefits.

Prebiotic Cola blends the classic taste of Pepsi with a functional health boost—less sugar, no artificial sweeteners, and added prebiotics. While it’s launching in the U.S. first, it could pave the way for a new wave of better-for-you soft drinks around the world.
