West Kalimantan Deputy Governor Attends DPRD Plenary Meeting to Discuss 2024 Budget Accountability. |
Pontianak, Indonesia – Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan, Krisantus Kurniawan, S.IP., M.Si., attended the Plenary Session of the West Kalimantan Provincial DPRD held at the Balairungsari Room, West Kalimantan DPRD Office, on Monday, July 28, 2025. The main agenda of the session was to deliver the Regional Head’s Final Remarks on the draft regulation regarding the 2024 Regional Budget Accountability (APBD).
This important meeting focused on three main agenda items:

Final statements from DPRD factions regarding the report of the Budget Committee on the 2024 Budget Accountability Draft Regulation (Raperda).

DPRD’s official decision-making process to approve the draft.

Signing of a joint agreement on the 2024 APBD Accountability Draft Regulation between the DPRD and the Provincial Government.
This plenary meeting is a key part of the regional budget cycle. According to Article 195 of Government Regulation No. 12 of 2019 on Regional Financial Management, the draft regulation approved by the DPRD must be submitted to the Minister of Home Affairs no later than four days after approval for evaluation before it is officially enacted by the Governor.
In his address, Deputy Governor Krisantus expressed appreciation to all DPRD members, especially the Budget Committee, for their thorough work in reviewing the 2024 APBD draft.
“The feedback and suggestions from DPRD will be followed up in budget planning, administration, and reporting stages. This financial information serves as a crucial basis for making accountable and effective decisions in managing regional finances,” he stated.
He also thanked the DPRD leadership and members for their active involvement from the planning process through to the final approval.
“We sincerely hope for continuous support, especially from the legislative body, to ensure that the APBD implementation aligns with applicable regulations and brings real benefits to the people of West Kalimantan,” he added.
The session was attended by the DPRD leadership, DPRD members, and several key officials from the West Kalimantan Provincial Government, demonstrating the strong collaboration between the legislative and executive branches in advancing regional development.
The approval of the 2024 APBD accountability report reflects the government's strong commitment to transparency and financial accountability. It serves as an essential step toward improving the quality of public services and enhancing the overall well-being of the West Kalimantan community.
