Jakarta – The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is encouraging its employees to adopt healthier lifestyle habits. Through the Heart Health Socialization and Education event held on Friday, November 28, 2025, Secretary General of ATR/BPN, Dalu Agung Darmawan, reminded participants about the importance of maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Opening the event at the Prona Hall of the ATR/BPN Office in Jakarta, Dalu Agung emphasized that the program is more than just a formality. According to him, it serves as a real commitment to caring for the body, mind, and heart. “These three elements must stay in balance so we can perform optimally at work,” he said.

He explained that high work mobility, lack of physical activity, and delays in medical check-ups remain common challenges among employees. Yet, many common illnesses can be prevented through an active lifestyle, routine health examinations, and proper stress management.

The event provided blood pressure checks, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings, medical consultations, and other health services to increase awareness among staff. “We all share the responsibility of protecting the organization’s most valuable asset—human resources who are healthy, strong, and full of integrity,” Dalu Agung continued.

Rezka Oktoberia, Special Staff to the Minister for Agrarian Reform and Secretary General of the Indonesian Heart Foundation, also encouraged similar efforts to be held regularly. She highlighted that heart health awareness should start in the workplace. Rezka noted that many employees feel anxious about medical results, even though early detection is far more beneficial than discovering a problem too late.

The program began with health checks including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and echocardiography, followed by a heart-health exercise session. Afterwards, Dr. Ario Soeryo Kuncoro, Head of Medical Affairs at the Indonesian Heart Foundation, presented a talk titled Heart at Work, discussing the importance of heart health in professional environments.

The event concluded with a demonstration of basic life support and emergency response procedures for heart attacks, equipping attendees with essential skills for handling critical situations.

Several officials took part in the program, including the Inspector General of ATR/BPN, Pudji Prasetijanto Hadi, senior leadership members, and staff across the ministry who participated in the health checks.

Through this initiative, ATR/BPN reinforces the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle—not only to boost productivity, but also to ensure overall quality of life in body, mind, and heart.
