Dennis Johnsen Scores First Goal for Cremonese: “We Should Have Won This Match” – Serie A Survival Battle Heats Up.

Dennis Johnsen finally opened his scoring account for Cremonese, netting the opening goal in a tense clash against Cagliari. Despite his contribution, the Norwegian midfielder admitted feeling a mix of satisfaction and frustration after the match ended in a draw.

Speaking after the game, Johnsen didn’t hide his disappointment. He believes Cremonese had a real chance to take all three points.

“Looking at the match, this was a game we should have won. But in Serie A, every single point counts, especially when you’re fighting to stay out of the relegation zone,” he said candidly.

When asked about his own performance, Johnsen remained realistic. Scoring his first goal for the club was a highlight, but he knows there’s room for improvement.

“If I hadn’t scored, it would have been just a normal performance. Scoring definitely feels good, but overall, it was still a standard game,” he explained.

In this match, Johnsen also took on more defensive duties in midfield, a role he’s accustomed to.

“I’m used to helping defensively, whether in Serie B or Serie A. But I know I need to do more and improve on the little details,” he added.

At the halfway point of the season, Cremonese has collected 22 points. Johnsen says the team is generally on track with its main objective.

“Our main goal is survival in Serie A. Overall, we’re doing okay, but this draw leaves a slightly bitter taste,” he admitted.

The next challenge is massive: a clash against Juventus. Johnsen emphasized that the team must raise its intensity and be sharper on the pitch.

“We need to be more aggressive and smarter. Today, we lost a few duels and second-ball battles. Against Juventus, we must step up our game,” he concluded.

While the first goal is a milestone for Dennis Johnsen, Cremonese’s battle for Serie A survival is far from over, requiring consistency and focus in every upcoming match.
