Manchester City secured a place in the quarter-finals of the 2025/2026 FA Cup after defeating Newcastle United 3-1 in the fifth-round match at St James' Park, Newcastle, early Sunday morning WIB.

Savio Equalized Before Halftime
Manchester City eventually leveled the score in the 39th minute through Savio Moreira.

After equalizing, City tried to push for another goal before halftime, but the score remained 1-1 at the break.

In the second half, Manchester City increased their attacking intensity.
Their efforts paid off quickly in the 47th minute. Omar Marmoush scored after receiving a cut-back pass from Matheus Nunes and finishing from close range to give City a 2-1 lead.
The Egyptian forward struck again in the 65th minute. Marmoush fired a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area that beat the Newcastle goalkeeper, extending City’s lead to 3-1.
Newcastle tried to fight back during the remaining minutes, but they were unable to score another goal. The match ended with Manchester City securing a 3-1 victory.
