| Pertamina confirms fuel supply in Kalimantan remains secure with national fuel reserves maintained at around 21 days. The public is urged to purchase fuel according to their needs. |
PT Pertamina (Persero) has confirmed that fuel supply in the Kalimantan region remains secure and under control. Through its subsidiary, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the company stated that energy distribution to the public continues to run normally, ensuring that community energy needs are met.
Fuel supply management is carried out through an integrated energy logistics system. In addition, distribution is monitored regularly to ensure smooth delivery of fuel to various regions across Kalimantan.
Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for the Kalimantan Region, Edi Mangun, when contacted in Banjarmasin on Saturday, said Pertamina continues to ensure that fuel stocks remain in a safe condition. He also urged the public not to make excessive fuel purchases.
According to Edi, purchasing fuel beyond actual needs could potentially disrupt the distribution system that has been running normally.
“We urge the public to remain calm and purchase fuel according to their needs. Responsible consumption will help maintain energy distribution so that all communities continue to have access to fuel,” Edi said.
National Fuel Stocks Maintained at Around 21 Days
Nationally, Pertamina Patra Niaga manages operational fuel stocks at around 21 days. These reserves are part of the national energy logistics system designed to maintain stable fuel supply across Indonesia.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun explained that the stock is stored within national storage facilities and distributed gradually to meet public demand.
According to him, maintaining approximately 21 days of operational stock is a normal practice within the national energy logistics system.
“The 21-day stock managed by Pertamina Patra Niaga is continuously replenished through production from domestic refineries and planned imports that are arranged well in advance,” Roberth said.
Integrated Monitoring of Energy Distribution
Pertamina Patra Niaga also ensures that the energy supply chain is managed in an integrated manner. The process includes crude oil procurement, refining operations, transportation, and distribution to various regions across Indonesia.
The company continues to monitor global developments, including geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East that could potentially affect global energy supply.
This monitoring effort is part of Pertamina’s strategy to maintain national energy security while ensuring that fuel distribution to communities remains stable.
Public Urged to Avoid Panic Buying
Pertamina reminded the public to avoid panic buying or excessive fuel purchases. Such behavior could disrupt the distribution system that has been operating normally.
By purchasing fuel according to actual needs, the company ensures that access to fuel remains evenly available for all communities.
For further information regarding fuel distribution, the public can contact the Pertamina Contact Center at 135.
With an integrated energy logistics system and well-managed national fuel reserves, Pertamina ensures that fuel supply in Kalimantan remains secure. These measures aim to maintain stable energy distribution while ensuring that the needs of communities and businesses continue to be met.
