Jakarta, July 1 — Indonesia's National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, reported that the retail price of bird's eye chili reached Rp64,250 per kilogram on Wednesday (July 1). Meanwhile, chicken eggs were recorded at Rp29,400 per kilogram.
According to PIHPS data released at 8:38 a.m. WIB on Wednesday, shallots were priced at Rp49,150 per kilogram, while garlic sold for Rp44,400 per kilogram.
For rice, lower-grade Rice I was priced at Rp14,700 per kilogram, while Lower-grade Rice II stood at Rp14,500. Medium-grade Rice I reached Rp16,300 per kilogram, Medium-grade Rice II Rp16,100, while Premium Rice I and Premium Rice II were recorded at Rp17,600 and Rp17,100 per kilogram, respectively.
Among chili varieties, large red chili was priced at Rp52,200 per kilogram, curly red chili at Rp52,000, and green bird's eye chili at Rp50,050 per kilogram.
Fresh broiler chicken was recorded at Rp37,050 per kilogram. Grade I beef reached Rp149,900 per kilogram, while Grade II beef was priced at Rp140,800.
Premium granulated sugar was listed at Rp20,300 per kilogram, while locally produced sugar sold for Rp19,050 per kilogram.
Bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp20,650 per liter. Branded Cooking Oil I reached Rp24,300 per liter, while Branded Cooking Oil II was recorded at Rp23,500 per liter.
The figures were published by Indonesia's National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, based on nationwide retail market monitoring conducted on Wednesday, July 1, at 8:38 a.m. WIB.
