Legendary actor Jackie Chan is officially set to reprise his role in the fourth installment of the classic action franchise Armor of God. The project, titled Armor of God Ultimatum, will be produced by Salem Entertainment, with filming planned entirely in Kazakhstan. This news was confirmed after Jackie Chan visited Almaty at the end of September 2025, personally scouting and selecting several locations for the shoot.
According to Salem Entertainment, the film will continue directly from the previous story and feature new adventure elements set against the exotic landscapes of Central Asia. While plot details and the official production schedule remain under wraps, the project has already attracted international media attention for being Jackie Chan’s first film largely shot in Kazakhstan. The studio noted that the 71-year-old actor showed remarkable energy during preparations, actively providing input on action sequences and filming locations.
Before the official announcement, Jackie Chan’s visit to Kazakhstan sparked widespread speculation. Some local media suggested he might be attending a sports event or a football match between Real Madrid and Kairat Almaty. However, Salem Entertainment’s announcement clarified all rumors. “We are honored to be part of Asian cinema history alongside a global icon like Jackie Chan,” a studio representative said. They also added that the film’s production is expected to positively impact the local film industry and attract tourists to the shooting locations.
The Armor of God franchise first debuted in 1986 and was a milestone in Jackie Chan’s career. Its success led to two sequels: Armor of God II: Operation Condor (1991) and CZ12 or Chinese Zodiac (2012).
