Cupertino – Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in September 2025. The news surfaced after MacRumors discovered hints in the iOS 26 beta pointing to a larger display. The new panel will feature a 422 x 514-pixel resolution, up from the current model’s 410 x 502 pixels. Interestingly, this bigger screen won’t come from a larger body, but from thinner bezels.
The higher resolution will allow more information to be displayed, from fitness stats and notifications to app interfaces that feel more spacious. Rumors also suggest the Ultra 3 will have a brighter display with a higher refresh rate for smoother interaction. Under the hood, it’s expected to pack the new Apple S11 chip, promising improved performance, better power efficiency, and longer battery life.
Another highly discussed upgrade is satellite connectivity. This would allow users to stay connected even without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. However, industry sources believe the feature may only be available in select regions. Apple is also reportedly testing new health features, such as blood pressure monitoring, though it’s unclear if this will debut with the Ultra 3. “Apple seems to be focusing on enhancing functionality rather than redesigning the already robust titanium build,” MacRumors noted.
If these leaks prove accurate, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 could become the go-to premium smartwatch with its larger display, faster performance, and enhanced emergency communication features. The official reveal is expected in September, where all details will finally be confirmed.
