TAG Heuer has officially introduced its latest smartwatch, the Connected Calibre E5. This is the brand’s first model certified as Made for iPhone, offering better compatibility and seamless performance for Apple users.
Interestingly, the Swiss luxury brand has completely abandoned Google’s Wear OS in favor of its own operating system called TAG Heuer OS. The new system was developed by a team of 60 engineers in Paris, focusing on performance improvements and a smoother user experience for iPhone owners.
The biggest advantage of this new platform is its much faster synchronization with iPhones. Thanks to MFi certification, users can receive notifications, calls, and health data in real time without the connectivity issues that previous Wear OS models had. The interface is now smoother, animations have been refined, and navigation works through both the touchscreen and mechanical buttons.
The Connected Calibre E5 comes in two sizes, 45mm and 40mm. Inside, it runs on the Snapdragon 5100+ chip, while the AMOLED display offers higher brightness and better responsiveness. The smartwatch tracks heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep quality, and physical activity. It also features a built-in microphone and speaker for calls directly from the wrist.

In terms of battery life, the watch lasts up to three days in power-saving mode and around two days with regular use. Fast charging via the new USB-C dock provides up to one full day of power with just 30–40 minutes of charging.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 is now available in TAG Heuer boutiques and online stores, starting at $1,600.
If you’ve been looking for a premium smartwatch alternative to the Apple Watch, blending luxury craftsmanship with modern technology, this might be the perfect choice.
