Sengah Temila Police carried out a night patrol on Saturday (August 9, 2025) to ensure public safety and maintain security in their jurisdiction. Led by local officers, the patrol covered residential areas and public facilities, including a coffee shop where locals were gathering, as well as banking areas.

The main goal was to encourage both residents and bank security guards to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.

During the patrol, officers visited residents at a coffee shop to build rapport while also delivering public safety reminders.

Locals were urged to take an active role in securing their neighborhoods, especially during nighttime, and to never hesitate in contacting law enforcement if they notice anything unusual.

The patrol then continued to banking areas, where officers advised security guards to conduct routine perimeter checks, control access points, and ensure all security systems such as CCTV were functioning properly to prevent criminal acts.

Sengah Temila Police Chief, Ipda Bernadus Didy Kusnadi, S.H., M.H., explained that night patrols are an effective preventive measure to minimize potential crimes.

“We want to ensure police presence in the community while reminding everyone to actively take part in maintaining security. Collaboration between residents, security personnel, and the police is essential in creating a safe and comfortable environment,” he said.

He also emphasized that people should not wait for major problems to occur. “Prevention is always better than action after the fact. Please report any incident that could potentially threaten safety,” he added.

This night patrol initiative is expected to foster a stronger sense of security among residents and reduce the risk of crime, especially during high-risk hours.

Sengah Temila Police remain committed to increasing patrol frequency, expanding coverage areas, and strengthening cooperation with both the public and security units to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
