| Police Investigate Witnesses in the Death of UKI Student. |
JAKARTA - The police are currently investigating the tragic death of a 22-year-old student from the Indonesian Christian University (UKI), identified by the initials KW. He was allegedly beaten and assaulted on March 4, 2025, at 7:40 PM WIB in the campus area.
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Nicholas Ary Lilipaly, stated that the authorities have questioned 11 witnesses regarding the incident.
"We have questioned 11 witnesses," said Commissioner Nicholas Ary Lilipaly on Friday (March 7, 2025).
He further explained that the investigation is ongoing, and several pieces of evidence have been secured.
"We have also secured CCTV footage," he added.
The victim’s body has undergone an autopsy at Bhayangkara Polri Hospital in Kramatjati, East Jakarta. Based on the initial investigation, there were indications of an argument before the alleged assault took place.
