A brutal murder case has shaken the public once again. This time, a young woman with the initials WD (21) was found dead in a rented house in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java.
The Metro Jaya Police, through the Subdit Jatanras Ditreskrimum, successfully uncovered the case and arrested the suspect, identified as MA (23), just one day after the incident. The arrest took place in Subang, West Java.
Jealousy Behind the Murder
According to information from the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary, the suspect killed the victim due to feelings of jealousy and betrayal. The suspect was hurt after discovering that the victim was involved with another man.
“This incident began when the suspect and victim arranged to meet on April 26, 2025. They went to the rented house together. When the victim fell asleep, the suspect carried out the attack,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary in a statement on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).
Chronology of the Brutal Attack
Once the victim was asleep, the suspect strangled her, then stabbed her in the stomach and slashed her neck and hands with a cutter knife. The victim died on the spot due to severe injuries.
Not stopping there, the suspect fled the scene, taking the victim's motorbike and personal belongings.
Evidence and Severe Punishment Awaiting the Suspect
Following an investigation at the crime scene, the police were able to recover several pieces of evidence, including CCTV footage, the sharp weapon, the victim's clothes, and items related to the suspect.
Now, the suspect, MA, will face justice for his actions. He has been charged under Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) for premeditated murder, as well as other related charges. The potential punishment is severe, with the suspect facing the possibility of life imprisonment or even the death penalty.
