Jakarta, June 25, 2025The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is once again showing its commitment to improving asset management across the country. On Tuesday (June 24), ATR/BPN Minister Nusron Wahid welcomed Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono and his team for an official meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in Jakarta.

During the meeting, Minister Nusron highlighted the importance of active cooperation between ATR/BPN and the Bekasi City Government to fast-track the certification of government-owned assets.

“The Bekasi City Government should ensure that all necessary documents are completed. That way, we can process the certifications more efficiently,” said Nusron in a firm yet approachable tone.

He also gave a direct order to the Head of the Bekasi City Land Office to prioritize the certification of municipal assets.

“I’ve instructed that the certification of all Bekasi municipal assets be completed as soon as possible,” he added.

Bekasi City Ready to Follow Through

Mayor Tri Adhianto expressed his appreciation for the ministry’s support and presented a list of assets that have yet to be certified. He committed to promptly submitting any required documentation to speed up the process.

“We’ll make sure all the paperwork is complete. Certification is essential to ensure legal security over these assets,” said Mayor Tri.

Institutional Collaboration in Action

The meeting was also attended by key officials from the ATR/BPN Ministry, including:

  • Director General of Land Rights and Registration, Asnaedi

  • Secretary of the Directorate General of Spatial Planning, Reny Windyawati

  • Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, Harison Mocodompis

This visit is a strong example of how collaboration between central and local governments can drive progress in resolving land and asset legality issues. It's hoped that this partnership will also inspire similar initiatives in other regions.

Why Asset Certification Matters

Certifying government-owned assets isn’t just a legal formality. Land and building certificates provide legal clarity, protect against ownership disputes, and allow local governments to manage their resources more efficiently. Certified assets are also easier to optimize for public services and development.

Efforts like these are essential to ensuring that public assets are protected, clearly documented, and legally recognized.
