Indo Defence 2025 Officially Closes: Strengthening Defense Cooperation and National Innovation. |
Jakarta, June 14, 2025 – The grand event Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum has officially come to a close with pride and enthusiasm. The event was formally closed by the Director General of Defense Potential at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense (Dirjen Pothan Kemhan), Rear Admiral Sri Yanto, at JIExpo Kemayoran, North Jakarta, on Saturday (6/14/2025).
Carrying the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace & Stability”, this international exhibition drew significant global attention and reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening international defense collaboration. With more than 40,000 visitors, the event successfully captured widespread interest throughout its run.
Public Day: Open Access for All
On its final day, Indo Defence 2025 opened its doors to the public through what is known as Public Day. This special day allowed people from all walks of life to explore cutting-edge defense technologies firsthand. From armored vehicles to advanced weapon systems, visitors were impressed by the innovations created by local talent.
The strong turnout reflected growing public pride and awareness of the importance of national defense progress. Many attendees came not only out of curiosity, but with a genuine interest in how Indonesia is contributing to peace and security through technological innovation.
Global Participation and Remarkable Achievements
Rear Admiral Sri Yanto expressed deep appreciation to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. He emphasized that Indo Defence is more than just a tech showcase—it’s a strategic platform for fostering international partnerships in the defense sector.
“It is truly an honor to close this exceptional event. Thank you to all participants, visitors, sponsors, and especially the organizers who made this possible. This exhibition plays a vital role in highlighting global and local defense innovation,” he said.
The numbers speak volumes: 1,182 companies from 55 countries participated in Indo Defence 2025, showing just how influential the event has become. It also showcased Indonesia’s readiness to play a bigger role in the global defense industry.
A Closing Celebration Rich with Culture
After the closing ceremony, Rear Admiral Sri Yanto and his entourage conducted a closing tour, walking through the exhibition booths. The atmosphere was made even livelier with a traditional Tor-Tor dance performance from North Sumatra, accompanied by the rhythm of gondang music—highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the archipelago.
During the tour, Ministry of Defense officials also took time to greet and thank the exhibitors personally for their contributions and innovations on display.
Looking Ahead to Indo Defence 2026
The conclusion of Indo Defence 2025 marks not an end, but a new beginning for defense collaboration and innovation. With such overwhelming enthusiasm from all sides, organizers are optimistic about the next installment—Indo Defence 2026—which is expected to be even bigger and better.
