Bogor, West Java – The Narcotics Directorate (Sub-directorate 1) of the Metro Jaya Police has seized 1.9 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine during a drug raid in a rented house in the Bojong Gede area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

A 31-year-old man identified as PV was arrested in connection with the case. Police acted on a tip-off from local residents who suspected illegal drug activity in the area. When officers moved in, they initially found 12 small packets of meth in the suspect’s possession.

“PV was apprehended in Bojong Gede with 12 packets of meth. Upon interrogation, he confessed to hiding more drugs at a house in the Bojong Gede Indah housing complex,” said AKBP Indra Tarigan, Head of Sub-directorate 1 of the Metro Jaya Narcotics Division, on Wednesday (July 2).

A follow-up search revealed the remaining meth stash, which authorities believe was meant for distribution.

PV admitted that he obtained the drugs from a person with the initials OM, who is currently on the run and has been declared a fugitive.

“According to the suspect, the drugs came from OM, who is now on our wanted list,” Indra added.

The Metro Jaya Police emphasized their continued efforts to dismantle drug distribution networks and called on the public to report any suspicious drug-related activity.
