Pontianak – The Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province, Dr. H. Harisson, M.Kes., has expressed his full support for the Healthy Youth Movement Towards Golden Indonesia 2045 or Gema Emas 2045, an initiative led by Windy Prihastari, S.STP., M.Si. The program is seen as having strong potential to become a national-level policy.

Harisson delivered his statement of support while attending the Seminar on the Change Project Design for Participants of the National Leadership Training (PKN) Level I Batch LXII 2025, held virtually at the Audio Visual Room of the West Kalimantan Governor’s Office on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

As a mentor for the project, Harisson praised the initiative's focus on raising awareness about nutrition and healthy lifestyles among Indonesia’s youth, which he views as a crucial foundation for achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.

“As Regional Secretary and mentor, I fully support the change project initiated by Ms. Windy Prihastari. I hope this project runs smoothly and brings real benefits to youth across Indonesia,” he stated.

Youth Health is National Strength

Harisson emphasized the importance of preparing today’s youth as the backbone of the nation and as high-quality human resources for the future. He also highlighted ongoing health and nutrition challenges in both rural and urban communities.

“According to Ms. Windy, health issues—especially related to nutrition—remain a concern. Many children in rural areas suffer from undernutrition, while those in cities are facing obesity due to unhealthy lifestyles,” he explained.

He further noted that young people’s awareness of health is still relatively low. Through the Gema Emas 2045 program, Harisson hopes to see an improvement in youth health awareness, especially given how lifestyle choices affect intelligence and competitiveness.

“We want young people to understand nutrition because their lifestyle directly affects their health, intelligence, and ultimately their competitiveness,” he added.

A Call from West Kalimantan's Disporapar Head

Windy Prihastari, who currently serves as the Head of the West Kalimantan Office of Youth, Sports, and Tourism (Disporapar), and is a participant in this year’s PKN Level I, stated that Gema Emas 2045 is an innovative policy aimed at shaping healthier, smarter, and more active youth.

“This innovation will support a policy that encourages young people to be aware of and care about living a healthy lifestyle, and become active, intelligent youth,” said Windy.

With strong backing from the provincial government, especially from the Regional Secretary, the Gema Emas 2045 initiative is expected to succeed and potentially scale up into a national program. This movement aims to create a competitive, high-quality generation ready to lead Indonesia into a bright future by 2045.
