Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The news comes from German mobile operators who reportedly received Apple’s official event schedule. Pre-orders will open on Friday, September 12, with in-store and partner sales kicking off September 19.
Rumors suggest there will be four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air. The new “Air” variant is said to replace the Plus model, featuring a much slimmer body. Apple is also expected to refresh the back panel design with a new camera layout, giving the lineup a sleeker and more modern look compared to the iPhone 16 series.
While exact specifications remain under wraps, leaks point to major improvements in display technology and camera performance. “We’ve heard Apple is working on new camera technology that will significantly improve low-light photography,” a source from the European telecom industry told local tech media. In addition to iPhones, Apple is also rumored to introduce the next-generation AirPods Pro and the 2025 Apple Watch. However, a new HomePod model is not expected until next year.
Apple’s September iPhone launches have been a long-standing tradition, often marking the start of the global holiday shopping season. With the introduction of the ultra-thin Air model, analysts believe Apple aims to attract users who value sleek design without compromising on power. If successful, this trend could inspire other smartphone makers to follow suit.
