Bandung – The Land Consolidation program has brought significant change to Tanjung Sari Village, Karangtengah Subdistrict, Sukabumi City. What was once an unorganized settlement has now become a neat, clean, and comfortable neighborhood. Not only that, the value of residents’ land has surged sharply, increasing up to threefold. Legal certainty over land ownership has also been strengthened after land certificates were handed directly to the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Head of the National Land Agency, Nusron Wahid, together with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.

One local resident, Sutisna (53), said he has personally felt the positive impact of the program. According to him, land prices in his area have risen significantly compared to previous years.
“Now land prices can reach around one million to one point five million rupiah per square meter. Before, it was only about five hundred thousand rupiah. That means the value has gone up nearly three times since the Land Consolidation program,” Sutisna said after receiving his certificate at Gedung Sate, Bandung, on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The Land Consolidation program in Tanjung Sari Village began with public outreach in 2024 and was completed in 2025. It involved multiple stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning through the Sukabumi City Land Office, the Ministry of Public Works, the Sukabumi City Government, and the local village administration. Beyond increasing the economic value of land, the certificates also provide strong legal protection against potential disputes and land mafia practices.

For Sutisna, who works as a daily laborer and owns a 110-square-meter plot, having an official land certificate brings peace of mind.
“Now everything is legally complete. In the past, I only had a land use letter and a land tax notice. Today, I have the certificate and the tax records are clear,” he said.

The benefits are not only seen in legal documents but also clearly visible in the physical environment. The neighborhood, once crowded and poorly arranged, now looks cleaner and more organized.
“The area is now neat and clean. Roads are clearly laid out, each house has its own septic tank, and buildings are more orderly,” Sutisna added.

A similar sentiment was shared by Supendi (56), who has lived in Tanjung Sari Village since 1994. He said he was deeply moved by the transformation of his neighborhood.
“From slum-like and irregular housing, it has become comfortable, beautiful, and pleasing to the eye. The village is well organized now, and it makes us proud,” he said.

According to Supendi, the area’s restructuring through Land Consolidation has also raised residents’ awareness of cleanliness and order. Improved road access now allows emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks to enter the neighborhood more easily.

The success of the Land Consolidation program in Tanjung Sari Village stands as a clear example of effective collaboration between the central government, local authorities, and the community. The program has not only improved the quality of the residential environment but also enhanced residents’ quality of life and increased the long-term value of their assets.
