The alleged beauty product fraud case involving Richard Lee has entered a new phase. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Police have confirmed they will conduct a follow-up examination of Richard Lee, who has officially been named a suspect in the case.
The additional questioning is scheduled for January 19, 2026. However, authorities have not yet disclosed the exact time and said further details will be provided later.
“We have scheduled a follow-up examination for the individual with the initials RL on January 19, 2026. The exact time will be confirmed and communicated at a later date,” said Head of the Public Information Subdivision of Metro Jaya Police Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Reonald Simanjuntak, on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Reonald explained that this examination is a continuation of the previous questioning. During the earlier session, Richard Lee only responded to questions up to number 73, even though investigators prepared a total of 85 questions.
“There are still remaining questions from numbers 74 to 85 that need to be addressed. The previous examination ended at question number 73,” he said.
Because this session is considered a continuation of the earlier examination, police did not issue a new official summons. The follow-up questioning is seen as a crucial step in deepening the investigation into the alleged beauty product fraud case, which has drawn significant public attention.
Metro Jaya Police emphasized that the legal process will proceed in accordance with established procedures and urged the public to follow developments responsibly and rely only on verified information.
