| Kapuas Hulu Launches Regional Road Development to Boost Connectivity and Local Economy. |
The Chairman of the Kapuas Hulu Regional House of Representatives, Yanto, S.P., attended a working visit with the Regent of Kapuas Hulu to officially launch the Regional Road Development under the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) for Fiscal Year 2025–2026. The event took place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Penembur Hamlet, Teluk Geruguk Village, Boyan Tanjung District.
The launch was accompanied by an on-site inspection of the planned road construction areas. This step ensures that the project is executed according to technical plans and addresses the actual needs of the local community. During the event, officials presented details on the project implementation plan, target milestones, and the benefits that residents can expect from the Regional Road program this year.
The Kapuas Hulu Regional House of Representatives fully supports this infrastructure initiative, emphasizing that road development plays a strategic role in enhancing connectivity across regions. Improved road infrastructure is expected to facilitate the distribution of goods and services, boost community mobility, and stimulate local economic growth, particularly in Boyan Tanjung District and surrounding areas.
The DPRD will continue its supervisory role to ensure that the construction is carried out on time, on target, and in compliance with applicable regulations, so the benefits can be fully realized by the community.
The event was also attended by the Regional Secretary of Kapuas Hulu or their representative, Acting Assistant for General Administration, heads of several regional departments including Public Works and Spatial Planning, Education and Culture, Health, Population Control and Family Planning, Fisheries, and Community and Village Empowerment, as well as officials from the General Affairs and Protocol & Leadership Communication divisions of the Regional Secretariat.
With the launch of this program, residents of Boyan Tanjung are optimistic. Better roads not only improve accessibility but also pave the way for enhanced economic opportunities and overall community well-being.
