The Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan, Krisantus Kurniawan, has expressed his full support for the upcoming Macan’t Dohik Buko’k Nature Adventure 2026. The statement was delivered during an official meeting with the event organizing committee at his office on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
During the meeting, Krisantus praised the initiative taken by the organizers to promote West Kalimantan’s natural beauty through an outdoor adventure and off-road trail event. He emphasized that activities like this are not only about sports and adventure, but also play an important role in boosting regional tourism.
“On behalf of the West Kalimantan Provincial Government, I would like to thank the organizing committee. I fully support this event. I hope everything runs smoothly and that the natural scenery can be well documented,” Krisantus said.
He also highlighted the importance of proper visual documentation throughout the event, especially to showcase the stunning landscapes of Sanggau Regency to a wider audience at both regional and national levels.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Macan’t Dohik Buko’k Nature Adventure 2026 Committee, Ronal, explained that the meeting aimed to present the event plan and formally invite the Deputy Governor to attend and open the event.
“This activity will take place in Sanggau Regency, specifically in Parindu District, Engkolet Hamlet, on January 24, 2026. We hope the Deputy Governor can join us and officially flag off the trail adventure,” Ronal explained.
Ronal added that the event is expected to attract participants from several regions, including West Java and East Java, along with other invited guests. This shows that the Macan’t Dohik Buko’k Nature Adventure is gaining recognition beyond West Kalimantan.
“We hope this event will be a success and, in the future, become a national-level trail adventure agenda in Sanggau Regency,” he said optimistically.
With direct support from the Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan, the Macan’t Dohik Buko’k Nature Adventure 2026 is expected to have a positive impact on tourism promotion, the local economy, and further strengthen Sanggau’s position as a promising adventure tourism destination in West Kalimantan.
