| Banjarmasin opens a THR complaint post for workers ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, helping mediate issues between employees and companies over holiday allowance payments. |
The Banjarmasin City Government in South Kalimantan has opened a complaint post for religious holiday allowance (THR) payments for workers ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. The post aims to accommodate reports from employees who face problems related to THR payments from their companies.
Head of the Banjarmasin Office of Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, and Manpower, Isa Ansari, said the THR complaint post will remain open until seven days after Eid. The service is expected to help workers and companies resolve issues related to the mandatory holiday allowance.
The complaint post has been operating since March 2, 2026. It is located at the office of the Banjarmasin Office of Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, and Manpower on Pramuka Street, East Banjarmasin.
“We invite workers who wish to submit complaints regarding THR to come to the post,” Isa Ansari said in Banjarmasin on Saturday.
Complaint Post to Facilitate Worker–Company Mediation
Isa explained that the complaint post serves as a platform for workers or companies experiencing difficulties in the THR payment process.
If reports are received from workers, the agency is ready to summon the related company for discussion and mediation. The goal is to find a fair solution and reach an agreement between both parties.
This step is expected to minimize labor disputes and ensure workers’ rights are fulfilled ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Based on Ministry of Manpower Regulations
The opening of the THR complaint post follows a circular letter from the Ministry of Manpower regarding the implementation of religious holiday allowance payments for workers ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.
The circular refers to Government Regulation No. 36 of 2021 concerning wages. It also refers to Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 6 of 2016 regarding Religious Holiday Allowances for workers in companies.
Under these rules, companies are required to pay THR to employees no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr.
Requirements for Workers to Receive THR
The religious holiday allowance must be given to employees who have worked for at least one month continuously. This requirement applies to both permanent employees and workers under fixed-term employment agreements (PKWT).
The Banjarmasin City Government has received the circular from the Ministry of Manpower and followed it up by conducting outreach to companies operating in the city.
Isa Ansari expressed hope that all companies will comply with the regulation so that no issues arise regarding THR payments this year.
City Government Hopes for Smooth THR Distribution
The Banjarmasin City Government hopes all companies will fulfill their obligation to pay THR on time.
This would allow workers to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with peace of mind and enjoy the holiday with their families.
“Hopefully there will be no problems related to THR in our city this year, so everyone can celebrate Eid happily with their loved ones,” Isa Ansari said.
