PONTIANAK – The West Kalimantan Provincial Government expressed appreciation to PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk for its support in facilitating housing financing for the community through a mass mortgage agreement program with BNI partner debtors.

The appreciation was conveyed by the Vice Governor of West Kalimantan, Krisantus Kurniawan, while attending the Mass Signing of the Sejahtera Mortgage (KPR) under the FLPP scheme at Hotel Golden Tulip Pontianak on Thursday (March 5, 2026).

According to Krisantus, the program represents a concrete step to help the people of West Kalimantan achieve their dream of owning proper and affordable housing.

“This program is certainly a concrete step in helping the people of West Kalimantan realize their dream of having decent housing,” he said.

Banking Support For Housing Access

Krisantus emphasized that the presence of banking institutions plays an important role in supporting access to housing financing for the community. He noted that the Sejahtera KPR FLPP program is one of the key solutions to help low-income communities obtain home ownership.

He also expressed gratitude to Real Estat Indonesia and housing developers who have committed to building residential areas in West Kalimantan.

According to him, the involvement of developers and the banking sector is crucial in accelerating the fulfillment of housing needs in the region.

Vice Governor Emphasizes Housing Quality

On the same occasion, Krisantus stressed the importance of maintaining the quality of housing development. He reminded developers that every house built should not only focus on physical construction but also on technical aspects that support comfort and livability.

“I urge developers to ensure that the houses built are truly of good quality, including proper drainage systems and supporting facilities, so that the homes marketed in West Kalimantan are truly suitable for residents,” Krisantus said.

He hopes that housing projects will provide long-term benefits for residents and create safe and comfortable living environments.

Strengthening Collaboration Between Government And Banking Sector

The West Kalimantan Provincial Government hopes that collaboration between the government, banking sector, and developers can continue to be strengthened in the future.

Such synergy is considered crucial to meeting the housing needs of the community while also reducing the housing backlog in the region.

“Collaborations like this must continue to be maintained and improved. The government strongly supports concrete steps taken by banks to help people own homes,” he said.

At the same event, the Pontianak Branch Head of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Novachristo Joseph Silangen, also expressed appreciation to all parties who supported the event.

He emphasized that the mass signing event was not merely ceremonial but a real manifestation of BNI’s commitment to helping communities obtain decent and affordable housing.

“We hope this program can encourage economic growth in the property sector while improving the welfare of the people of West Kalimantan through legal and quality home ownership,” he said.

Novachristo also expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm shown by debtors participating in the agreement signing. According to him, strong synergy between banks, local governments, and developers is a key factor in reducing the housing backlog in West Kalimantan.

“This event is not just ceremonial. It is a real step for you to achieve your dream home through the FLPP scheme, which greatly helps the community,” he concluded.
