Public excitement to attend the 80th Independence Day Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta has reached new heights. The online registration for invitations, opened via pandang.istanapresiden.go.id on Thursday (August 7, 2025) at 10:00 AM WIB, was immediately flooded with visitors — recording 142,000 users in just 25 minutes until the quota was filled.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said traffic spikes occurred the moment registration went live. In the very first seconds, more than 34,000 users accessed the site simultaneously before the number climbed to 142,000 during the session. “We truly appreciate the incredible enthusiasm from the public. This shows that the spirit of celebrating Independence Day together at the Palace grounds is still very much alive and remains a highly anticipated moment,” Teddy said in an official statement.
Teddy explained that the number of invitations was limited, which is why registration was quickly filled. However, he reminded the public that there is still another chance to register. “For those who missed today’s registration, there’s one more opportunity! Invitations will open again tomorrow, Friday (August 8, 2025) at 10:00 AM WIB on the same website,” he added.
With demand skyrocketing, the Palace urged the public to prepare in advance for the next registration session, including ensuring a stable internet connection for a better chance of securing an invitation. The overwhelming interest is further proof that the Independence Day ceremony at the Palace remains one of the most prestigious and memorable events for Indonesians.
