The Narcotics Directorate of Metro Jaya Police has uncovered another drug trafficking case involving marijuana. A man with the initials MSG was arrested in the North Bekasi area, Bekasi City.

Acting Head of Unit 5 Sub-Directorate 1 of the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate, AKP Sigit Frestiyadi, explained that the arrest took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, around 9:00 PM. The suspect was apprehended in front of his house in Kampung Irian, Teluk Pucung Village, North Bekasi District. At the scene, officers found 4.1 kilograms of dried marijuana neatly packed and ready for distribution.

“We from the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate have arrested a male suspect with the initials MSG,” said AKP Sigit on Friday, October 10, 2025.

After the arrest, both the suspect and the evidence were taken to the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate for further investigation. The investigation is still ongoing to uncover the full network behind this marijuana distribution case.

According to preliminary findings, the marijuana was allegedly obtained by the suspect through a transaction conducted on social media. Investigators are now tracing the wider distribution network and potential involvement of other individuals.

This case serves as a reminder for the public to remain vigilant about drug trafficking, which increasingly operates through digital platforms. The police also urge the community to immediately report any suspicious activities related to narcotics distribution in their surroundings.
