| Shock in Bener Meriah! 39-Year-Old Man Arrested for Harassing Female Student in Coffee Plantation. |
Police from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Bener Meriah Police successfully arrested a man identified as MY (39), a resident of Kute Panang District, Central Aceh Regency. He was taken into custody on Monday, October 13, 2025, after allegedly harassing a 17-year-old female student with the initials SM, who lives in Pintu Rime Gayo District, Bener Meriah Regency.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Supriadi, confirmed the arrest. He explained that the Resmob team apprehended MY at his home after conducting an investigation into his whereabouts.
“Yes, MY was arrested at his house. He is now in custody at Bener Meriah Police for further legal processing,” said AKP Supriadi, as reported by Lintas Gayo.
According to the investigation, the incident took place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in a coffee plantation owned by a local resident named D, located in Uning Mas Village, Pintu Rime Gayo District. At that time, both the victim and the suspect were picking coffee cherries together when the suspect suddenly approached and pulled the victim to the side of the field.
“That’s when the suspect committed the act of harassment,” Supriadi explained.
The plantation owner and the victim’s family were outraged upon learning about the incident and immediately reported it to the police.
The report prompted the Resmob team to launch an investigation, which quickly led to the arrest of the suspect.
Currently, MY is being held at Bener Meriah Police Headquarters for further questioning and legal proceedings. Authorities have also ensured that the victim receives full protection and support as the case continues.
