The quick response from the Narcotics Unit of Polres Landak once again paid off. After receiving a tip from local residents, officers managed to uncover a suspected drug distribution network in Ngabang District.

The report came from worried residents who noticed suspicious activities involving a woman believed to be dealing meth in Dusun Dengoan, Desa Tebedak.

Following up on the information, the narcotics team immediately launched an investigation. Their surveillance pointed to a woman with the initials FS, who was often seen making suspicious exchanges near her home.

On Wednesday night, November 19, 2025, around 8:30 PM local time, officers moved in. FS was caught right as she was allegedly about to conduct a drug transaction on the roadside of Jalan Raya Dusun Dengoan.

During the search, officers found three small plastic bags filled with crystal-like substances suspected to be meth, tucked in the left pocket of her shirt.

The packets were wrapped inside a yellow plastic labeled YUPI and sealed with clear tape. Police also seized an Oppo blue smartphone, believed to be her communication tool with the drug network.

The investigation didn’t stop there. Officers proceeded to search FS’s home, which was nearby. Inside her bedroom wardrobe, they discovered more evidence, including:

  • 16 small ready-to-distribute meth packages

  • 1 plastic clip containing crystal meth wrapped in black taped plastic

  • A small measuring spoon made from a pipette

  • Empty plastic clip bags

  • A digital scale believed to be used for weighing meth before distribution

All evidence, along with the suspect, was taken to Polres Landak for further legal processing.

Landak Police Chief AKBP Devi Ariantari, through Narcotics Unit Head Iptu Rinto, confirmed the arrest. He emphasized that this success reflects the police’s strong commitment to fighting drug distribution in the community.

“We appreciate the public for having the courage to report suspicious activities. Every report we receive is taken seriously,” said Iptu Rinto.

He added that this breakthrough also highlights the growing awareness among residents about the dangers of drugs.

“Meth destroys lives and the future of our young generation. We encourage everyone to keep reporting anything that seems off. Even the smallest information can help us break drug networks,” he stressed.

Police are now investigating whether there’s a supplier behind FS. They will also conduct further examination of the evidence, including communication data found on her phone.

“We suspect that FS has been operating for quite some time. The digital scale and the number of small ready-to-sell packets indicate a structured distribution activity. We will continue to dig deeper to uncover whoever is supplying her,” he added.

Meanwhile, one of the locals, who preferred to remain anonymous, expressed his gratitude for the police’s swift action.

“We finally feel safer. We’ve been worried for a while seeing those suspicious activities. We hope the police continue to take firm action against drug dealers,” he said.

He added that residents truly want their environment to be free from drugs.
“We want our neighborhood to be safe for our kids and the younger generation. Hopefully, no one else tries to bring drugs into our community,” he concluded.
