Mempawah Hulu – As the New Year approaches, officers from the Mempawah Hulu Police Station have stepped up security monitoring to ensure public safety and order remain well maintained. One of the key focus areas is Karangan Market, a major hub of community activity. The monitoring took place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
The activity was carried out by Bripka Albasit and Bripka Hamdan, who closely observed conditions throughout the market area. Their focus included monitoring public security, crowd activity, and maintaining open, friendly communication with both traders and visitors.
Amid the busy pre–New Year atmosphere, officers also delivered public safety messages directly to the community. Residents were reminded to stay alert to potential criminal activity, keep a close eye on personal belongings, and work together to maintain order and comfort within the market area.
Landak Police Chief AKBP Devi Ariantari, S.H., S.I.K., through Mempawah Hulu Police Chief Ipda Paskarianto, explained that this monitoring effort is part of a preventive strategy aimed at ensuring public safety.
“The presence of police officers among the community is expected to prevent disturbances to public security and provide a sense of safety for residents as they go about their activities, especially ahead of New Year’s Eve,” said the Police Chief.
Throughout the monitoring period, the situation at Karangan Market remained safe, orderly, and under control. The Mempawah Hulu Police Station will continue to enhance patrols and monitoring activities to maintain security stability across its jurisdiction.
With these efforts in place, the community is expected to welcome the New Year feeling safe, comfortable, and united.
