Viral Shock in South Kalimantan, The Truth Behind the Name Fazar Bungas Linked to a Same-Sex Explicit Video

Viral Shock in South Kalimantan, The Truth Behind the Name Fazar Bungas Linked to a Same-Sex Explicit Video

Social media users in South Kalimantan were left stunned after the name Fazar Bungas suddenly went viral, following the circulation of a same-sex explicit video that sparked public concern.

Since the issue surfaced, online searches for keywords such as Fazar Bungas link, Fazar Bungas viral video, and Fazar Bungas video link have surged across search engines and social media platforms. Many netizens were curious and shocked by the story behind the name.

The Balangan Police Resort under the South Kalimantan Regional Police later confirmed that the case had been uncovered. Authorities revealed that the video contained pornographic content involving two men in Balangan Regency.

Two individuals were identified and arrested, namely MF (24), known publicly as Fazar Bungas, and HY (27), also known as Hari. Both are now in police custody and undergoing legal proceedings.

Balangan Police Chief AKBP Yulianor Abdi stated that the investigation began after the video went viral online and caused unrest in the community. Speaking at a press conference in Paringin on Monday, December 30, 2025, he emphasized that officers acted swiftly to identify and apprehend those involved.

According to investigators, the explicit video was originally recorded for private use between May and June 2024 inside a bedroom located in Murung Ilung Village, Balangan Regency. However, the footage was leaked and widely shared with the public on December 12, 2025.

As a result, both men have been named suspects for producing and distributing pornographic content. They are charged under Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law and the Pornography Law, facing a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and fines of up to six billion rupiah.

During the investigation, police seized several pieces of evidence, including two mobile phones, an iPhone 15 Pro Max and an iPhone 11, believed to have been used to record the video. Bedroom items such as a red bedsheet and pink-green curtains were also confiscated, as they matched the background seen in the circulating footage.

Police Chief Yulianor Abdi added that the case handling goes beyond legal enforcement. Authorities are coordinating with the Indonesian Ulema Council, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Health Office to provide guidance and conduct comprehensive health-related assessments.

Investigators are still probing how the private video was leaked to the public. Police have not ruled out the possibility that other parties may have been involved in distributing the illegal content.

This case serves as a serious reminder of the legal and social consequences of creating and sharing explicit material in digital spaces. The public is urged to use social media responsibly and refrain from spreading content that violates the law and moral standards.
