Bukittinggi – The introduction of Electronic Land Certificates is giving residents greater peace of mind, especially during the rainy season when the risk of floods, fires, and property damage increases. People no longer have to worry about losing or damaging important documents, as land certificates are now securely stored in digital form.
This benefit is felt directly by Risa Fajiriani, a land service applicant at the Bukittinggi City Land Office. According to her, Electronic Certificates have become a practical solution amid increasingly unpredictable extreme weather conditions.
“Having an Electronic Certificate feels much more reassuring, especially during the rainy season and after the recent disasters. We never know when floods or fires might happen. With an electronic certificate, the document stays safe because it’s stored digitally,” Risa said.
Beyond security, she also highlighted the convenience of the new system. Administrative processes related to land services, such as ownership transfer, are now much faster compared to physical certificates.
“Transferring ownership with an Electronic Certificate is quick. If all the requirements are complete and verified, it can be finished in just one day,” she explained.
In terms of data protection, Electronic Certificates are integrated with the official Sentuh Tanahku application. Through this app, landowners can check their certificate data anytime without having to store physical documents that are vulnerable to damage, water, or loss.
This experience has made Risa more comfortable using digital certificates. With unpredictable weather and potential disasters, Electronic Certificates are seen as offering stronger protection for people’s land assets.
“Now it feels safer and more reassuring. There’s no need to worry about the certificate being damaged or lost. The data is available in Sentuh Tanahku and easy to check. Even if the phone is lost, the certificate can still be downloaded again by simply logging in,” Risa concluded.
With the convenience and enhanced security it offers, Electronic Land Certificates are considered a major step forward in land services and a smart solution for safeguarding property assets in all conditions.
