Jack Miller Proud to Represent Yamaha’s 70th Anniversary Colors at the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. |
MotoGP rider Jack Miller, who now races for Pramac Yamaha, expressed his excitement and pride about competing in the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race wearing a special Yamaha 70th anniversary livery. For Miller, it’s not just another race—it’s a deeply meaningful moment in his racing career.
A Special Moment in Jack Miller’s Career
After two seasons with KTM, Miller joined Yamaha this year and is set to make his second appearance at the legendary Suzuka 8 Hours. His first race at the event took place back in 2017 when he rode with Honda. This year, he’ll be representing Yamaha at one of its most iconic events.
Ahead of a private test on July 3-4, Yamaha officially unveiled their YZF-R1 factory bike, dressed in a retro red-and-white color scheme to celebrate 70 years of racing heritage. Miller already debuted this nostalgic livery during last weekend’s Dutch MotoGP round, making it a familiar look before the endurance challenge in Japan.
“Honestly, I’m really excited to wear the red and white colors for the Suzuka 8 Hours,” said Miller.
“It’s a massive honor, especially as Yamaha celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. These colors are legendary—I immediately think of Giacomo Agostini’s 1975 championship win in that iconic red and white.”
Nakasuga Says Retro Livery Brings Extra Motivation
Veteran Yamaha rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga is no stranger to racing with retro paint schemes. For him, this year’s throwback livery adds even more motivation to perform well and honor the brand’s history.
“I’ve had the chance to race with several special Yamaha liveries over my career,” Nakasuga said.
“This year, we’re bringing back the 1999 YZF-R7 colors, and I’m proud to be part of it. Every time I wear a design like this, I feel like I need to deliver a result that lives up to its legacy.”
Although Nakasuga has raced with various Yamaha color schemes—including the iconic red-and-white "speed block" and black-and-yellow designs—he says this one stands out as something truly unique.
“I love the look of this livery. It’s cool, it’s different, and I can’t wait to get it on track. As always, my focus is on delivering the best result possible for the team.”
Why the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours Race Matters for Yamaha and Fans Worldwide
The Suzuka 8 Hours is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of endurance, team strategy, and engineering excellence. For Yamaha, this year’s event takes on even more significance as the company celebrates seven decades of innovation and racing legacy.
With Jack Miller and Katsuyuki Nakasuga representing the factory team and riding in historically significant liveries, Yamaha is not just chasing victory—they’re honoring a rich history of motorsport excellence.
So, if you’re a MotoGP enthusiast or a fan of Yamaha’s racing heritage, the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours is definitely an event to keep on your radar.
