Telegram is quietly testing a useful new feature that could change the way users manage tasks within the app. According to Telegram Beta Info, the beta version of Telegram for iOS 11.13 (30945) now includes to-do lists — available in both private and group chats.

Although Telegram has not officially announced this update, early testers are already exploring what the feature has to offer.

What Are Telegram To-Do Lists?

This new feature allows users to create task lists with up to 30 items that can be edited at any time. These lists can be shared in individual chats or group conversations, making them perfect for organizing daily tasks, coordinating group projects, or planning events.

The list creator can set permissions, deciding whether other participants can:

  • Add new tasks

  • Mark tasks as completed

  • Unmark completed tasks

Each completed task also shows the profile picture of the person who marked it as done, which helps with accountability in group settings.

Who Can Use This Feature?

As of now, the to-do list feature is only available to Telegram Premium users. These users can create, manage, and interact with the task lists. Free users, on the other hand, are limited to viewing the lists but cannot modify or check off tasks.

This Premium-first rollout appears to be Telegram’s way of testing the feature on a smaller scale before a wider release.

When Will It Be Released Officially?

There is no official release date for the stable version of this feature. However, considering the practicality and user interest, it’s likely that Telegram will bring this to more users in the near future.

Telegram’s move to integrate to-do lists signals a shift toward making the platform more than just a messaging app. For Premium users, this feature offers a built-in productivity tool, especially useful for teams and communities.

If you’re already using Telegram, this could be the start of more efficient coordination and task management — all without leaving the app.
