| Thousands Join Tanjungpura City Run 2025 as West Kalimantan Governor Officially Kicks Off the Event, |
Pontianak – Sunday, July 27, 2025, A wave of excitement filled the air at Makodam XII Tanjungpura as West Kalimantan Governor, Drs. H. Ria Norsan, M.M., M.H., officially flagged off the Tanjungpura City Run 2025. This running event was held as part of the 67th Anniversary celebration of Kodam XII Tanjungpura, attracting thousands of enthusiastic participants from all walks of life.
Tanjungpura City Run is a community running event organized to commemorate the anniversary of Kodam XII Tanjungpura. The race featured two distance categories—5 kilometers and 10 kilometers—starting and finishing at the Makodam courtyard, turning the venue into a vibrant gathering point since early morning.
West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan personally officiated the opening. Before releasing the participants, he reminded everyone to stay safe and obey traffic rules throughout the course.
“Please be careful on the road. Obey traffic signs and stay focused. May you all do your best. With Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, and with the blessing of Allah SWT, I hereby officially launch the Tanjungpura City Run 2025,” said Norsan with spirit.
In addition to the Governor, several key figures from the West Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) also joined the event. After the official launch, they took part in the run along the route from Makodam to Ayani 1 and back, showing strong unity between government leaders, the military, and the public.
The event didn’t stop at just the run. Once participants reached the finish line, they joined a mass aerobic session in the Makodam courtyard. This added a cheerful and energetic atmosphere to the anniversary celebration, highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle in the community.
