At the 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple officially introduced its latest tablet operating system — iPadOS 26. And it’s not just about a pretty new look — this update brings powerful features that turn the iPad into an even more serious productivity tool.

Liquid Glass: A Bold, Futuristic New Look

One of the most eye-catching changes in iPadOS 26 is the introduction of the Liquid Glass design, which Apple has also brought to iOS 26. This new semi-transparent interface adds a fluid, glass-like effect to the lock screen, home screen, and Control Center. It dynamically reacts to your device’s motion and background, giving the UI a fresh, modern vibe.

More Interactive, Dynamic App Icons

App icons on iPadOS 26 are also getting a major upgrade. They now adjust their color based on light or dark mode and feature smooth animations when launched. It’s a small touch, but it really brings the interface to life.

Desktop-Style Window Mode for Better Multitasking

Here’s the big one: window mode. Apple is finally bringing more flexible multitasking to the iPad. You can now open and resize multiple app windows — up to 10 at once — with four taking up the full screen and others floating on top.

They’ve even added close and minimize buttons like on macOS, making the whole experience feel more like using a desktop computer. It’s a game-changer for those using iPads for work or school.

Background Processing: No More Interruptions

With advanced background mode, you can now switch between apps without interrupting heavy tasks like video editing or 3D rendering. Your apps keep running in the background just like they would on a Mac.

Redesigned Files App for Faster Access

The Files app is getting a useful upgrade too. You’ll be able to organize folders more easily and even pin your most-used folders directly to the dock for quicker access. You can also customize how icons appear inside folders to suit your workflow.

More Cool Features to Explore:

  • Choose your microphone input when recording audio on iPad.

  • The new Preview app for PDFs supports Apple Pencil markup.

  • Live Translation in communication apps allows real-time voice translation.

  • Safari now has a customizable menu, similar to the Mac version.

Compatible Devices for iPadOS 26

Here’s a list of iPads that will support iPadOS 26:

Apple is making waves once again with the official launch of iOS 26, the next-generation mobile operating system for iPhone, set to become a highlight in 2026. This time, the update brings a major visual overhaul with a fresh new interface style called Liquid Glass, giving iPhones a sleek, futuristic vibe.

A New "Liquid Glass" Design – More Than Just Looks

If you thought iOS was already visually polished, Apple just took things to the next level. The new Liquid Glass design isn’t just about eye candy — it’s a complete reimagining of how users interact with their iPhones. UI elements now feel more alive: buttons float, light reflects naturally, and sharp edges are replaced with smooth, rounded corners.

Many panels and buttons are now hidden by default and only appear when needed, allowing more space for content. For example, in Safari, webpages display in full-screen mode while the tab bar floats on top and disappears when you scroll. In apps like Apple Music, News, and Podcasts, the navigation bars now float and adapt to the content on the screen.

A Smarter, More Dynamic Lock Screen

The lock screen also gets a major upgrade. The digital clock now adapts and "melts" into your wallpaper, creating a more fluid, animated look. Thanks to 3D motion effects and Apple’s powerful neural engine, wallpapers gain depth and react to your iPhone’s movement, offering a more immersive experience.

iOS 26 also adjusts the interface based on lighting conditions — whether you're in bright sunlight or a dark room. Menus and interface elements now appear exactly where you touch, like contextual pop-ups and floating windows.

New Versioning System: iOS Numbers Based on the Year

Apple is switching things up with a new versioning system. Previously, after iOS 18, we would expect iOS 19, and so on. But now, Apple’s naming will follow the calendar year — similar to how car models are named. So, even though it’s being announced in mid-2025, iOS 26 represents the 2026 edition.

Meet Apple Intelligence: On-Device AI at Its Best

Another major feature in iOS 26 is Apple Intelligence, a native AI system designed to streamline everyday tasks with privacy in mind.

Here are some of the standout features:

  • Live Translation: Real-time voice and text translation inside Messages, Phone, and FaceTime apps.

  • Smart Actions: Automatically create emojis, generate images using Image Playground, and extract tracking info from emails.

  • Visual Intelligence: Analyze what's on your screen. For example, tap on a date in a message to instantly add it to your calendar, or search for similar items and photos within supported apps.

The best part? All data is processed on-device, which means your personal info stays private and secure.

Enhanced Phone and iMessage Experiences

The Phone app now includes Call Screening, which intercepts unknown numbers, asks the caller for their purpose, and displays a quick summary for you before you answer. There's also a new Hold Assist feature that listens for a real agent during customer service calls and alerts you when one’s available, so you don’t have to wait around.

As for iMessage, it's getting a big glow-up too. You’ll be able to create polls in group chats, set custom chat backgrounds, and filter unknown senders into a separate folder automatically — keeping your inbox cleaner and more organized.

Developer Access and Release Timeline

Developers now have access to the Liquid Glass UI framework, allowing them to design more engaging, responsive apps using the new visual language.

iOS 26 is currently available in developer beta. A public beta will launch next month, and the final release is scheduled for fall 2025. The update will be compatible with iPhone 11 and newer.

Not Just iOS — Other Big Announcements

Alongside iOS 26, Apple also introduced macOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, and a brand-new gaming service, making this one of Apple’s most ambitious software updates yet.

With iOS 26, Apple is showing it’s serious about pushing boundaries — not just visually, but also in terms of functionality, privacy, and intelligent user experience. The Liquid Glass design, combined with powerful on-device AI and cleaner, more adaptable interfaces, makes this a major step forward for iPhone users.

If you’re an iPhone fan who loves sleek design and smart features, iOS 26 is definitely something to look forward to!

New Coronavirus HKU5-CoV-2 Discovered in China: Could It Spread to Humans?

New Coronavirus HKU5-CoV-2 Discovered in China: Could It Spread to Humans?
New Coronavirus HKU5-CoV-2 Discovered in China: Could It Spread to Humans?

A New Virus Discovery in China Raises Concerns

Scientists from the University of Washington in the United States have announced the discovery of a new type of coronavirus in China, named HKU5-CoV-2. This virus has shown the potential to mutate and jump between species—including potentially infecting humans.

The team focused their research on a lesser-known subgroup of coronaviruses called Merbecoviruses, which includes HKU5 and the more infamous MERS-CoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus). One of the key findings was that a small change in the spike protein of HKU5 could allow it to attach to human ACE2 receptors—the same ones used by SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Virus Can Infect Both Respiratory and Digestive Systems

According to a study published in Nature Communications, HKU5-CoV-2 is capable of infecting and replicating in both the respiratory tract and the digestive system. This dual capability is concerning because it suggests the virus could affect multiple organ systems in the human body if it ever becomes fully transmissible to humans.

What Are Merbecoviruses, Exactly?

Merbecoviruses are a subfamily of coronaviruses that were first recognized for their role in the MERS outbreak. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), since 2012, MERS has spread to 27 countries and resulted in 858 deaths from confirmed cases. MERS is known to spread from camels to humans.

The HKU5 virus itself isn’t brand new. It was first identified by scientists in China earlier this year in samples taken from bats. However, what’s new—and potentially dangerous—is this mutated version: HKU5-CoV-2, which may be just a small mutation away from becoming capable of infecting people.

Not As Infectious as SARS-CoV-2—Yet

While this all may sound scary, researchers are urging the public not to panic. HKU5-CoV-2 doesn't currently have the same ease of entry into human cells as SARS-CoV-2. In simpler terms: it's not yet built to infect humans easily.

Professor Michael Letko, a virologist and co-lead of the study, stated that viruses in the HKU5 group have been largely understudied. But his team's research shows they are "only one step away" from being able to infect human cells.

"Our study shows these viruses can infect cells, and that they’re just a small mutation away from spreading to people," Letko said.

Final Take: Stay Informed, Not Panicked

While HKU5-CoV-2 does pose a potential threat, there's currently no solid evidence that it has infected humans. That means there’s no immediate reason to panic. Still, close monitoring of new animal-borne viruses is crucial to avoid another global health crisis like COVID-19.

It's essential to stay informed through accurate sources and scientific updates. Staying alert but not alarmed is the most effective approach when dealing with emerging virus threats.

Discovery of Ancient Phrygian Royal Tomb in Gordion: Unveiling the Legacy of King Midas and His Lost Treasures

Discovery of Ancient Phrygian Royal Tomb in Gordion: Unveiling the Legacy of King Midas and His Lost Treasures
Discovery of Ancient Phrygian Royal Tomb in Gordion: Unveiling the Legacy of King Midas and His Lost Treasures.

Hey history buffs! Here’s some exciting news from the world of archaeology that’s sure to spark your curiosity. A remarkable find has just been unearthed in Gordion, Turkey, shedding new light on a powerful ancient civilization and possibly linking us to the legendary King Midas himself. Let’s dive into the story!

A Wooden Tomb with Royal Secrets

Archaeologists recently uncovered a wooden burial chamber hidden beneath the soil of ancient Gordion. But this wasn’t just any tomb—it contained 88 metal artifacts, all incredibly well-preserved. Among the items were large bronze cauldrons and vessels, secured to the chamber walls with iron nails.

Experts believe the person buried here was no ordinary citizen. Based on the luxury and craftsmanship of the artifacts, many suspect this individual had royal blood—and may have been directly connected to King Midas, the mythical ruler known for turning everything he touched into gold.

Gordion: A City of Innovation and Influence

Now, let’s talk about Gordion itself. This ancient city has been continuously inhabited since 2500 BCE—yep, that long ago! It was once a thriving political and cultural hub in the region of Anatolia. In its golden age, Gordion rivaled great ancient cities like Athens, Rome, and Babylon in terms of importance and innovation.

One of Gordion’s most iconic landmarks is the Midas Tumulus, a massive burial mound believed to have been built by King Midas in honor of his father—possibly King Gordias. UNESCO even noted that the untouched wooden tomb beneath this mound is unparalleled anywhere in the world. Amazing, right?

The Legend of the Gordian Knot

You can’t talk about Gordion without bringing up the famous story of the Gordian Knot. According to legend, whoever could untie this complex knot would become ruler of all Asia.

Enter Alexander the Great, who visited Gordion in 334 BCE. Instead of carefully untying the knot, he slashed it with his sword—a bold move that became symbolic of decisive problem-solving. That’s where the phrase “cutting the Gordian Knot” comes from—it’s still used today to describe taking bold action to solve complicated problems.

More Treasures: A Golden Sphinx Found

As if the tomb wasn’t enough, archaeologists recently discovered a miniature sphinx made of gold and ivory in one of Gordion’s mosaic buildings. This only adds to the evidence that Gordion was once a place of great luxury, wealth, and artistic achievement.

This discovery gives us a deeper glimpse into the rich and mysterious world of Phrygia. Whether it’s the story of King Midas, the architectural brilliance of Gordion, or the legendary knot that defied unraveling, this ancient city continues to inspire and intrigue.

For fans of ancient history, this isn’t just about old tombs and dusty relics—it’s about reconnecting with the past in a way that’s vivid, personal, and absolutely fascinating.

James Webb Telescope Maps the Largest View of the Universe, Revealing 13 Billion Years of Cosmic History

James Webb Telescope Maps the Largest View of the Universe, Revealing 13 Billion Years of Cosmic History
James Webb Telescope Maps the Largest View of the Universe, Revealing 13 Billion Years of Cosmic History.

Imagine being able to look back in time — not just a few centuries or millennia, but 13 billion years into the past. Sounds like science fiction, right? Well, thanks to NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), that’s exactly what scientists just did.

Through a research initiative called the Cosmic Evolution Survey (COSMOS), astronomers have created the largest map of the universe ever made. This massive galactic map includes nearly 800,000 galaxies, many so far away that their light has taken billions of years to reach us — meaning we’re seeing them as they were just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang.

Just Three Times the Size of the Moon in the Sky — But Full of Cosmic Wonders

What’s fascinating is that this “massive” map only covers a tiny patch of the sky — just 0.54 square degrees. That’s about three times the size of the full Moon as we see it from Earth. But this particular area, known as the COSMOS field, was chosen because it’s relatively free of stars, gas, and dust — which means it gives astronomers a clearer window into the distant universe.

To collect the data, the James Webb Telescope stared at this small region of space for about 255 hours. The result? A breathtakingly detailed look into the structure and evolution of the cosmos across nearly all of cosmic history.

Why James Webb Is a Game-Changer — Even Compared to Hubble

As the universe expands, light from distant galaxies gets stretched, shifting into the infrared spectrum — which human eyes (and older telescopes like Hubble) can’t see very well. But JWST was specifically designed to capture that faint infrared light.

And it exceeded expectations: the telescope spotted 10 times more distant galaxies than scientists had anticipated before its launch. It even revealed supermassive black holes hidden deep in ancient galaxies — objects that Hubble simply couldn’t detect.

From Raw Data to Cosmic Masterpiece — A 2-Year Journey

It took nearly two years to process the raw data from Webb into this visual masterpiece. But the result is truly stunning — a map that shows how galaxies formed, interacted, and evolved across billions of years.

If you’re curious, the team has made the map publicly available in an interactive format. Whether you're an astronomy fan or just love cool space stuff, this is one cosmic journey you don’t want to miss.

Looking Into the Past, Through the Present Sky

Thanks to groundbreaking tech like the James Webb Space Telescope, we’re not just looking at stars — we’re witnessing history. From the birth of galaxies to the mysterious power of black holes, this new map offers a glimpse into how our universe grew and changed over billions of years.

For space lovers and curious minds alike, this is more than just a discovery — it’s a reminder that the cosmos still holds countless secrets waiting to be uncovered.

iOS 26 Brings Futuristic Glass-Inspired Interface: Apple’s Biggest Redesign Since iOS 7.

Apple is gearing up to make waves in the tech world once again with the release of its latest operating system — iOS 26. Ahead of the much-anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC25) set for June 9, Bloomberg has revealed major details about what users can expect. And this update isn’t just another tweak — it's being called the most significant visual overhaul since iOS 7 back in 2013.

A “Digital Glass” Design That Feels Light and Elegant

The most eye-catching change? Apple is introducing a brand-new look called “digital glass.” This design language emphasizes transparency, light effects, and modern aesthetics. Everything from app icons to toolbars and navigation tabs is getting a complete facelift.

Imagine menus and icons that feel like they float on screen — soft, sleek, and ultra-modern. Even pop-up menus are redesigned to make it easier and faster for users to access more options with a single tap. It’s all about clean visuals and smooth interaction.

Widgets Are Getting a Visual Upgrade

Widgets on both iPhones and iPads will also receive a makeover to match the new glassy theme. While their functionality will remain the same, the visual styling will be refined to fit with the sleek, modern interface. This means your home screen is about to look a lot more futuristic — without sacrificing usability.

Safari Gets a Transparent Makeover

Safari isn’t left behind. The iOS browser will receive a fresh redesign, including a more transparent and “glassy” address bar that blends smoothly with the overall interface. Apple’s goal is to create a browsing experience that feels as lightweight as it looks.

Redesigned Phone App with Optional Layout

Another major change is coming to the Phone app. Favorites, recent calls, and voicemails will now be displayed in one scrollable window, making it easier to manage communications. However, for those who prefer the classic layout, Apple will allow users to switch back to the old design — no pressure to adapt if you don’t want to.

macOS Preview App Comes to iPhone and iPad

This one’s a pleasant surprise: Apple’s Preview app, a longtime staple on macOS, is finally making its way to iPhone and iPad. Users will now be able to handle PDF files more efficiently on mobile — merging files, adding or deleting pages, and making annotations — all from the palm of their hand.

App Icons Remain the Same (For Now)

Despite earlier rumors, Apple won’t be changing its app icon shapes to match the circular design used in Apple Vision Pro. Bloomberg reports that Apple has decided to keep the current app icon shapes, believing they remain functional and recognizable.

Other Exciting New Features

Aside from the visual changes, iOS 26 is packed with exciting updates:

  • A redesigned CarPlay experience that feels smarter and more dynamic.

  • New polling and auto-translation features in the Messages app — perfect for group chats and international conversations.

  • A brand-new Apple Games app, designed as a central hub for mobile gaming fans.

Save the Date: WWDC25 Starts June 9

All of these features will be officially announced during Apple’s keynote presentation at WWDC25, starting June 9 at 8:00 PM Moscow time (midnight on June 10 for Indonesia). If you're an iPhone user or just a fan of Apple’s sleek ecosystem, you definitely won’t want to miss this reveal!

With iOS 26, Apple is doubling down on both beauty and functionality. The new transparent design isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s meant to enhance how users interact with their devices. From a polished Safari to more intuitive app interfaces, the experience is about to feel more immersive than ever.

That means longer use without constantly reaching for the charger. It also supports 18W fast charging, making refueling fairly quick and convenient.

Great Sound, Latest OS, and a Headphone Jack!

Redmi Pad 2 is also a winner in the audio department. It comes equipped with four stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos, making your movie nights and playlists sound richer and more immersive. Still rocking wired headphones? You’re in luck—it still includes a 3.5mm headphone jack!

From a vibrant display and powerful battery to enhanced audio and stylus support, it’s built for people who want a quality tablet experience on a budget. Whether you’re studying, working, or simply watching your favorite content, this device is designed to keep up.
