Paris Saint-Germain are just one win away from making history. With the Champions League final against Inter Milan set for Saturday, head coach Luis Enrique believes his team is fully prepared to bring home their first-ever European crown.

Despite having a relatively young squad, Enrique says the ups and downs they've faced this season have shaped them into true contenders.

"We're a team used to playing in big finals. Motivation matters, but for us, it's something we're familiar with," Enrique said during the pre-match press conference.

He explained that experience isn't just about age or the number of games played. For PSG, the emotional and tactical challenges of this season have been a blessing in disguise.

"Our journey has been anything but easy. But going through tough moments builds character. We've played against the top clubs in Europe. We’re ready, and we won’t be afraid."

Time for PSG to Break Their Champions League Curse

Since the tournament began in 1955, PSG have played 167 matches in the European Cup/Champions League without ever winning it—a stat that places them among the top teams never to lift the trophy. Only Arsenal (211), Dynamo Kyiv (185), and Atletico Madrid (176) have played more matches without success.

If PSG win this weekend, they will officially become the team with the most matches played before finally claiming their first Champions League title—beating Manchester City's record of 117 games before their win in 2023.

Enrique’s Mission: Make History Again

Luis Enrique already has Champions League glory under his belt, having led Barcelona to victory in 2015. Now, he’s chasing a rare milestone: becoming just the sixth manager in history to win the tournament with two different clubs.

"I’m more mature now, and I try to pass that calmness to my players. I want them to focus on the game, not get overwhelmed. They have the chance to write history."

Ousmane Dembele: PSG’s Star Performer

One of PSG’s biggest strengths this season has been Ousmane Dembele, who’s had a breakout campaign in the Champions League. With eight goals and four assists, Dembele has been directly involved in 12 goals—a new record for a PSG player in a single European season.

"Ousmane has been one of the best players of the season, maybe even the best. He leads by example and pushes the team forward," Enrique said.

A Defining Moment for PSG

This isn’t just another Champions League final. It’s a turning point for PSG—a club that’s been chasing this dream for years. With a hungry squad, a seasoned coach, and their best European form ever (10 wins and 33 goals this season), all signs point to a team ready to seize the moment.

Will PSG finally lift the Champions League trophy? The answer comes Saturday in Munich.
